With the Green Dream Park, an environmental awareness project of China that will over run the area used for the 2008 Olympic Games, nearing it’s opening, they have unveiled a new attraction that is simply pure awesome, an Optimus Prime statue.
This 40 foot tall replica of Optimus Prime (the movie version) is located northwest of Beijing’s “Bird’s Nest” National Stadium.
The statue is fashioned out of recycled car parts such as engines and tires, stands nearly 40 feet tall and weighs 6 tons.
Was it built for any practical use? Not really. Unless you count it as a way of attracting visitors much like Japan’s Life-Size Gundam RX-78-2.
The park opens Friday.
pretty interesting haha a must seen! Just finished watching transformers 2 hope to see life size bumblebee too!
