Cherry Mobile broke ground today, announcing the launch and availability of it’s first quad-core device powered by a Snapdragon processor.
Like most Cherry Mobile phones, the Flame 2.0 has dual SIM support and is equipped with an older but still powerful 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8225Q Snapdragon S4 processor paired with an Adreno 203 GPU, a 4.5-inch qHD capacitive touch display and a 1,600mAh battery. Yeah that’s a bit meager for a phone of this size and capability but take a quick look at it’s price.
Compared to the recently released Cherry Mobile Flame which is still retailing at Php 6,299, the Flame 2.0 presents a modest upgrade for just Php6,999.
The Flame 2.0 sports OGS or One Glass Solution technology which deposits an ITO layer directly underneath the cover lens of the touch panel, creating a seamless yet effective touch screen stack that’s thinner, lighter and more optically clear than the competition.
