Releasing right before the iPhone 4 arrives to it’s awaiting owners, Apple has released the latest version of it’s iPhone OS (now known as just iOS), the iOS 4. This new update brings in a handful of significant changes—the most awaited of which is Apple’s implementation of “multitasking”— and a slew of tweaks and improvements to existing functionality.
Techie Xplorer reports that iOS 4 is available only to the following devices: iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G users (as well as second- and third-generation iPod touch users). No iPhone 1G, 2G, iPod Touch 1G and definitely no iPad.
The iOS 4 touts several new features like multi-tasking, folders, widgets, a new Apple Mail, geotagging for photos, as well as several fixes that improves existing functionality.
