Born in Yonkers New York on 1986, the pop star we all know as Lady Gaga was still Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.  Prior to her fame, Germanotta performed at Ultraviolet Live, New York University’s annual talent show.  She sung “Captivated,” and, “Electric Kiss” and won third place.

At age of 19, Germanotta began her recording career with Def Jam records but was later dropped after three months.  Soon after, she started performing as Lady Gaga in performance art shows on the Manhattan club scene and began to get noticed.  In April 2008, Gaga released a single “Just Dance.”  The song became a dance club hit before debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in August, and eventually reaching number o.

In January, 2009, she released “Poker Face” and Gaga’s fame train sped forward soon after.

Here’s a video of her performance at Ultraviolet Live:

lady gaga or stefani joanne angelina germanotta is a very good singer and song writter, but now i just can't help my self to get dismayed by her actions and appearance right now. i know she is an artist but being an artist you don't have to appear like you don't have any cloths on you. its so unpleasant specially to the children. i watch your performance at Ulatraviolet Live at you tube and i can't help my self to be amazed by it. i like the lady gaga there before than now.

I seconded…I love her songs, apparently her latest video turned wild, what's up with that? I could not fathom the way she looks. Your songs itself could make you well-known don't over do it. A lot of feedback were roaming around that could ruin your popularity.
