The Galaxy S II is having a heyday at retail topping the original Galaxy S phone’s sales record of 3 million in 85 days. The Galaxy S’s successor manages to reach that number in just 55 days making it Samsung’s fastest selling smartphone ever.
Samsung says that most of their sales come from the EU where the company says that the S2 has “dramatically increased” their phone market share. The company fully expects to reach the 10 million mark sooner than the original Galaxy S as the US carriers are expected to have the phone by summer. Samsung however has not yet officially announced the phone’s availability for the US market.
